Image Background Generation can automatically extract the main object from an image and generate high-quality product images in various scene styles based on the product's characteristics. The product is equipped with multiple scene styles and design references, aiming to improve the efficiency of content creation and optimize scene variety, thereby increasing store conversion rates. Currently, the product supports both API and editor integration methods to meet diverse needs.

To use the API, you are required to choose and purchase an API resource pack from us on a subscription basis.
Each resource pack is valid for one calendar year upon successful purchase, and enables you to access the API up to the number of requests specified in the pack. No refunds can be provided.

Resource packs cannot be used across different products. For example, if you need to use both product text translation and image translation, you must purchase separate resource packs for each.

It supports both API and editor integration methods.
It is recommended to use the editor integration method for a better experience and generation effect. The editor integration capabilities will be launched soon. Please contact us via navigation bar or email us (aidge_support@service.alibaba.com) if you have any needs before the launch.
Take the API interface as an example to demonstrate the invocation example.
Step 1: Call the Scene Recommendation and Query API to get suitable scenes and their numbers based on product information (such as title, image, category, etc.). Currently, there are over 70 scenes with different content and styles to choose from.
Step 2: Call the Image Background Generation API, input the specified scene number, initiate the generation task, and obtain the task ID.
Step 3: Call the Image Background Generation Query API, input the task ID, and obtain the generated result of the product scene image in the corresponding style.

Why do the generated results vary?
Background Generation can create matching scenes, but it also has a certain degree of randomness and unpredictability. The quality of the generated results can be affected by the quality of the input images and the category of product. The scene generation capability performs better on consumer goods, but there may be variations in generated results for categories such as hardware and accessories.
What is the difference between the AI Scene mode and the Reference Image mode when generating using the editor?
In AI Scene mode, the generation will be more divergent, with greater diversity and richness, but it will also have higher unpredictability. In Reference Image mode, the generation will be more controllable, with a higher correlation to the reference image, resulting in smaller differences in the output. The choice of mode should depend on the actual image generation needs.
How many scene images can be generated in one API call?
A single task generates a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 scene images. If not specified, the default is to generate 4 images. For details, refer to the Image Background Generation API documentation.
